Children practise writing the graphemes above, while saying the mnemonic or rhyme. This helps to develop their letter formation. The graphemes are in the order that they are taught from Reception to Year 1. You can use this page to help rehearse letter formation at home.
You could use the following ideas to help support this at home this at home: air writing, finger writing on the carpet, use of mini-whiteboards, finger writing on arms/hands and so on.
